A commemoration of the 50th year in 2002 (v.) of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The institution of monarchy is a fascinating one; its authoritarian roots which underpin the power structures of contemporary British society extend far back into prehistoric mythology. The God given right to rule inherited through untainted blood that has flowed and been spilled down the millennia, the powerlessness of absolute power, the servitude of the ruler, are all qualities worthy of our admiration in an age dominated by the supposed collapse of meta-narratives. ‘Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense’ - ‘Evil To Him Who Evil Thinks’.
